Hi, I am
Erika!
I am a licensed professional counselor and art therapist. I am passionate about working with people through out their life span and from all walks of life. As an Art Therapist, I firmly believe that everyone is creative in how they live their lives. I am skilled in supporting folks in uncovering their inherent creativity and strengths. I use a creative and holistic approach to counseling that is rooted in social justice in order to empower individuals, couples, and families to live the lives they want and thrive in their own unique ways.
How I Can Help...
I have a master's degree in Art Therapy and have been lucky to work with many different populations. I have worked with LGTBQ youth, folks who are incarcerated or returning to their communities, hospitalized children, and families in crisis. These experiences have given me the tools to support trauma healing work through mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral techniques, narrative therapy interventions, and Art Therapy. I work to empower individuals to feel more connected to themselves and their communities and achieve both short and long terms.
When I am Not at Work....
When I am not working I spend as much time as I can outdoors with my family. I love to hike, run, bike, kayak, canoe, swim, and go camping. I am also an artist and love taking photos, painting, and really any creative endeavor. I am passionate about creative writing and poetry.
