Additional Credentials

Hi, I am

Alyssa!

Thank you for viewing my profile as your potential therapist. My name is Alyssa and I have been a LMSW for 5 years, working in healthcare and the mental health profession since 2015. I am always seeking to set new goals for myself to strengthen my skill set personally and professionally, and would be honored with the opportunity to help you do the same.

How I Can Help...

Being trained in multiple treatment modalities I find myself versatile and able to work to best meet the needs of my individual client, rather than trying to fit their challenges into one specific treatment approach. If you have felt exhausted, overwhelmed, tiresome, or that you are unable to find a workable, effective solution to your struggles, it is likely you have hit a roadblock that I am hear to help minimize.

With multiple degrees, continuing my own education obtaining a second Masters and going on for my PhD, I hope to continuously equip myself with additional skills and techniques to better serve my clients.

Additional Credentials:
• Associate in Science in HDFS-Child, Youth, and Family Services
• Minor concentration in Civic and Community Engagement
• Bachelor of Science in HDFS-Lifespan Human Services Specialty
• Masters of Social Work with Specialization in Trauma and Interpersonal Violence
• Specialization in Forensic Psychology
• Hospital Trauma Education
• Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Theory Certification
• Training in BCBT
• Supplemental education and trainings in multiple therapy focuses
• Training in Palliative Care
• Specialized experience with Cancer patients, caregivers, and families
• Extensive participation with military nonprofits and program engagement
• Presidential Volunteer Service Award 2016 and 2017 due to service and commitment to Veterans and Military Families

When I am Not at Work....

When I am not at work I am heavily involved in my community, exercise activities, or spending time with my family. I love being outdoors, immersing myself in nature, and toying with photography. My two cats will potentially interject in our therapy sessions as well.
