Hi, I am

Cassie!

Hello! My name is Cassie Padilla, and I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor here at Virtual Counselor and College Telehealth. I specialize in supporting teens, young adults, and adults struggling with low self-esteem, loneliness, depression, and/or anxiety stemming from perfectionism, and the intense stresses we can all face in our world. If you have ever experienced any of these difficulties, you are not alone. My aim is to provide you with a safe, empathic space to process your past experiences fully, and to support you in learning coping mechanisms to be able to better manage any new difficulties moving forward.

How I Can Help...

With over 8 years of experience, my goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, nonjudgemental space for you to explore the unhelpful patterns in your life that are no longer serving you. I have extensive training in Experiential and Psychodrama Therapies, which are both hands-on approaches to the therapeutic process that involve the body in addition to talk therapy. Oftentimes, we tend to store emotion and trauma in our bodies, and experiential therapy modalities can help us to unlock and process these stored emotions on a deeper level compared to talking alone. Some examples of experiential activities that I use in my work with clients are deep breathing exercises, grounding techniques out in nature, and psychodrama role play activities. Utilizing these types of experiential techniques, my goal is to help you build awareness around your current maladaptive patterns, so that you then have the power and ability to choose new, more adaptive patterns for yourself, and in turn steer yourself towards healing and growth.

When I am Not at Work....

I am a major nerd, so outside of work you can most often find me doing a nerdy deep dive on the latest Marvel movie or Star Wars show. I also love to spend time out in nature, either on a weekend camping trip in the summer or a walk with my dog through the snow in the winter. When I'm hanging out at home, I enjoy working with my hands and trying out new crafting hobbies, such a watercoloring or needle felting.
