Hi, I am

Cheryl !

Life can be challenging at times, and all it takes is some simple life changes to find yourself in a better place. I am a Professional Licensed Counselor, who can help with a range of mental health issues, including stress, anxiety, depression, and relationships. I can provide guidance, and support to help navigate these challenges and improve overall well-being.

Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Behavior Therapy are the methods I find most beneficial. I have experience working with a variety of clients from pre-teen to adults. I have experience with Special Education and Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals. My focus lies with the importance of creating a safe, non-judgmental environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.

I can help you define goals, break them down into actionable steps, and develop a plan to achieve them. With each client I will discuss objectives, explore different strategies, and create a road map to success. I look forward to working together.

How I Can Help...

I completed my Bachelors Degree in Deaf Education and Special Education K-12 at Flagler College. I served as a teacher for 8 years, before I pursued my Master's Degree in Counseling from Central Michigan University. I started my career as a School Counselor in 2003, supporting students at the secondary level. During that time I provided Academic, Career and Personal Counseling to high school students.

As a retired School Counselor my passion continues to support children and young adults in finding their way in life. I provide telehealth services to support individuals with mental health struggles as well as teach online courses through Michigan Virtual.

When I am Not at Work....

When I am not at work, I can be found spending time with my family, and traveling. I thoroughly enjoy being active, golfing, and boating during the summer months in Northern Michigan.
