Hi, I am

William!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Certified Mindfulness Teacher. I partner with young adults, adults and seniors to manage the stressors and disruptions in daily life and begin the process of establishing ways to live a life of value, meaning and present-centered awareness. Whether you are struggling with everyday stressors, college life, life transitions, problems with anxiety or depression, my goal is to help you find the solutions and strategies that align with your values and move toward a life of meaning and purpose.

How I Can Help...

As a mental health clinician for almost 30 years, I understand that sometimes one of the most difficult things for you to do is to find purpose and value in your life when there are so many demands that may pull you in the other direction. In today's world, there is so much involved in keeping everything balanced in a way that meets your needs as well as keeping focused on the things that you value most.

Living a valued life is important, but often times it is easy to get side-tracked. Like that saying from John Lennon, "Life happens while you're busy making other plans," we can lose clarity in what means the most to us and we can often end up feeling lost and unsure of how to get back on track.

Through working together and building a working relationship, I will partner with you to bring about healing and a sense of well-being through mindfulness-based counseling.

Working together we will explore the skills that empower you to live mindfully and accept the invitation to move toward greater balance, control and participation in your life.

When I am Not at Work....

When I am not at work, I am out walking in nature or playing the guitar and writing music. I also enjoy my daily routine of meditation, Tai Chi, and Yoga. I love being with friends and family especially exploring new places and restaurants to visit. I also enjoy reading about philosophy and finding deeper and more meaningful ways to grow as a human being. When I am exhausted and do not feel like doing anything, I give myself permission to just be lazy and sit on the couch and watch movies or tv shows.
